It's Michael's 15th birthday today! Since I was craving some french toast for breakfast, Papa Mike, Joey, and Michael ran to the store and got everything we needed. Joey did the honors of cooking breakfast, and I helped some too. Yummy-- I ate so much french toast! This afternoon, we took a little road trip with Papa Mike. Raven, Michael, Anthony, Joey and I all hopped in his truck headed to McKinney. On the way we stopped at the Race Track gas station that Joey and I stopped at on the way to Leonard. Again- just an awesome store. They have every drink you could ever want and about 20 flavors of each of those drinks. Some of the group got tea, or coffee, while others got icees. Joey and I each got a HUGE 54 oz Icee- but we couldn't resist getting the big one, they were only $1.39 each! We worked on those Icees for about an hour. Our next stop was the Verizon store. For a few months now, my phone has been dead for the majority of the time since it no longer holds a charge. I've been thinking about getting a new battery, but I knew that was going to cost 40-50 bucks, so I kept putting it off. Papa Mike had an old phone that had been sitting at Michael and Anthony's house for a really long time. It just happened to be the same phone that I used to have and loved. The best part is that it is in perfect working order- and holds a charge for a long time. Scott said that no one was using it, or would use it and that it was just going to sit there and that I was welcome to it if I wanted it. So, at the Verizon store, I switched over my number from my old phone to Papa Mike's old one and am all set with a long lasting battery phone! We made a quick stop at Lowes to get some cable to make a dog run for Maggie and then headed to Costco! Oh what fun we had there. While Papa Mike did all the shopping he needed to do, Raven, Joey, Michael, Anthony and I had SO much fun going to all the free sample stations. Some we would go back to 2 or 3 times. We were so full by the time we left there that it was just like we had "lunch at Costco!" We had a little time to relax before it was time to celebrate Michael's birthday. We sang to him, of course, and he blew out his candles. Cake and ice cream time!! Later on this evening, we went to a family friend's house for a Christmas Party. The food was amazing and we had a great time talking with some of the people there. The kids seemed to enjoy themselves too since they got to decorate t-shirts with glittler glue and exchange presents. We had a busy day today, but it sure was fun!
